Local e-mail can be setup to run on your server. This allows you to facilitate communication with your staff and teachers seamlessly. Communicate schedules, meetings, school newsletters, or any information you might post on your bulletin boards. You can create distribution lists for grade levels, main office, special education, administrative or resource. E-mail also allows teachers, staff, and administrators to communicate with parents, community and other professional and educational resources that will help them do their jobs better. Your e-mail may also be setup to give staff remote access to their e-mail from any computer. E-Mail gets you connected to one another and other resources.

The services you receive from Sierra are the following:

  • Evaluation of the server and determine the appropriate software for an internally hosted e-mail system
  • Installation of software to your local server
  • Complete setup of e-mail accounts for all teachers, staff, and administrators
    • Setup of user IDs and passwords
    • Setup of group distribution lists
  • Training of one on-site network administrator
  • Appropriate e-mail software must be purchased separately
